UPost - Remote Deposit Solution

Need an innovative online service that sets your credit union apart from other financial institutions? If so, eCU Technologies' unique UPost online deposit service is your answer. This Internet-based technology allows your members to enter deposits online before providing your credit union with an actual check, while gaining quick access to their funds. It's a convenient service that fosters member loyalty - especially for those members located remotely. UPost will keep them coming back again and again to your credit union for their banking needs.

eCU Technologies' UPost online deposit service, originally developed by Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union as UPost@Home®, allows your members to enter their deposits online via home banking before providing your credit union with an actual check. Members then gain quick access to their funds either immediately or after a predetermined timeframe, while mailing their checks to your credit union within a certain number of days. You have the option to provide UPost exclusively or to your entire membership. As a result, your members will find UPost as yet another innovative online service that enhances your credit union's value.

  • Customized parameter set-up -set-up your own parameter to control access
  • Automatic member qualification - file maintenance program runs and tracks the member's account, qualifying that person based on their account history

  • Home banking - promotes members to use home banking service, increasing deposits while decreasing branch visits
  • Reduced maintenance - reduced staff labor in maintaining member deposits
Increase deposits, increase loyalty

eCU Technologies’ UPost online deposit service has been developed to handle the challenge of remote members making deposits. Now those members can enter deposits online before providing your credit union with the actual check. As a result, your credit union can increase the number of overall deposits without significantly increasing branch visits with “over-the-counter ” deposits. Second, you can enhance member services by bolstering your credit union’s already robust eServices selection. Overall, UPost builds trust and stronger relationships with your members.

How it works

eCU’s UPost enables your members to enter their deposits online via home banking before providing your credit union with an actual check. Members can then mail their checks to the credit union within a certain amount of days, while gaining quick access to their funds—either immediately or within a predetermined timeframe. You also have the option of providing UPost to an exclusive list of members or opening it up to your entire membership.

Functionality
  • Your members don’t have to worry about their checks being delayed in getting to the credit union and waiting to write their checks for bills. The funds can be available almost immediately. They don’t have to worry about overdrafts.
  • Set up your own parameters for members allowed to use UPost. For example, members cannot have any derogatory comments on their account, and they cannot have a history of delinquent loans or NSF checks.
  • UPost automatically qualifies members when they apply to use it. A file maintenance program runs and tracks the member’s account, qualifying that person based on their account history.
  • UPost requires minimal daily maintenance, allowing around five or 10 minutes each day to make sure members’ checks post properly and the system balances.
  • Your members are no longer limited to making deposits at a branch or ATM. They each have their own ATM at the end of their driveway. It’s called their mailbox.
