WESCOM RESOURCES GROUP ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF ECU TECHNOLOGIES

- The technology CUSO will serve over 200 credit union clients.-

Pasadena, Calif. — November 5, 2007 — Wescom Resources Group (WRG), a provider of Internet Banking and back-office efficiency solutions for credit unions, today announced a definitive agreement to acquire Pennsylvania-based eCU Technologies, a technology and consulting provider for credit unions.  This acquisition, which is subject to the completion of a review, is expected to close by December 31st.  It will further enable WRG to provide credit unions with advanced technology solutions that give them a competitive edge.  The product and service lines of WRG and eCU are highly complementary.  The acquisition will create significant new areas of value for new and existing credit union clients.

WRG has also appointed Tim Dolan as its new president.  Dolan replaces Kevin Sarber, who has been appointed as senior vice president, service delivery for Wescom Credit Union.   Sarber has joined WRG’s board of directors.  Dolan served for two years as vice president, facilities and administrative services for Wescom Credit Union.  During that time he managed the successful construction of Wescom’s operations center in Anaheim, which serves as the primary application hosting center for WRG clients.  Prior to Wescom, Dolan managed operational divisions at AT&T and Avaya for over 25 years, responsible for client service, system installation, project management, and maintenance within the Pacific Southwest.

Alan Brunner of eCU joins WRG in a senior role.  Brunner served as eCU’s chief operating officer since the company’s formation in July of 2001, orchestrating its growth to over 130 clients.  He architected the rollout of eCU’s products, including the popular UPost® remote deposit solution.  He also created and grew a successful consulting services division.  Brunner will now report to Dolan, as does John Best, who continues as WRG’s chief technology officer.

“We are delighted about this announcement,” said Rob Guilford, executive vice president, technology and delivery of Wescom Credit Union.  “WRG has demonstrated a track record of technology leadership among credit unions.  The acquisition of eCU Technologies deepens our technical and delivery capacity and will enable us to offer even more innovative solutions to our credit union clients.”

Kathy Hooker Burress, president of Symitar, concurs. “WRG and eCU Technologies have been long-time strategic business partners of Symitar, so it's very exciting to consider the possibilities that this acquisition creates. As the most widely adopted major core processor in the credit union space, Symitar is committed to best-of-breed integration, and I'm confident that all the future products of this expanded organization will truly be best of breed.”

Tim Dolan will lead WRG in this next exciting phase of its growth.  “WRG has grown through its singular focus on serving the technology needs of credit unions.  eCU has very similar history and philosophy, and this acquisition will enable us to raise the bar to new heights within our industry.  I am very excited about our expanded market reach, and the extra depth of capabilities this will provide us.”
