Harrisburg, Pa. — September 27, 2007 -Alan Brunner, COO for eCU Technologies, an automated financial service technology provider for credit unions, presented the benefits of its popular UPost online deposit service during this year’s Symitar Educational Conference and Technology Expo, which took place at the Manchester Hyatt, downtown San Diego, September 11-14, 2007. Brunner conducted the presentation during the conference’s “Managing Paper Deposits in an Electronic World” breakout session on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, to a packed room of about 250 attendees. In addition to the UPost presentation and displaying its Keystone product suite, eCU Technologies gave away a 42-inch flat screen, LCD television.
Brunner’s UPost presentation consisted of featuring the benefits of the online deposit service, the growing number of credit unions using it today (30), the positive disparity between deposits vs. fraud numbers, UPost 3.0’s upcoming features, possible scanning technology on the horizon, and more. Following his presentation, Brunner accommodated the crowd by answering numerous questions about the online deposit service.
“We like for our clients’ members to ‘pump their own gas,’ so to speak,” states Brunner, commenting on the member-empowering capabilities UPost provides. “Credit union members are going to deposit their funds somehow. They might as well use UPost because it saves the credit union money compared to other traditional deposit methods.”
Another highlight of the conference was giving away the 42-inch, LCD television. Winner from the 2005 TV raffle, Ray Rounds, Senior Vice President for Credit Union of Southern California, pulled this year’s winning name from the hat to announce Gabriel Juan, Vice President of IT for Foothill Federal Credit Union, could claim his new television.
Along with UPost, eCU Technologies will feature its KeyStone product suite at the show:
“This year’s conference was a huge success for us,” says Brunner. “With the UPost presentation to a packed house, the drawing for the TV, the numerous attendees that stopped by our booth to discover more about our Keystone suite of products, and much more; we were very pleased with how this conference turned out for us. We look forward to doing it again next year.”
